Moving Map Connections

Hello!
I've been lurking on this site for quite a while now, and now that finals finished I've decided to start working on my hack.

I've done quite a bit of research, and understand hex editing and whatnot,
but I can't seem to get my head around Map Connections.

I've been working with Miksy's Tutorial for 2 hours now (as well as searching through the forums for more connection info), have written everything down flowchart style and still can't seem to figure it out.
Once I get one connection done, I know that the others will be easier to do.

So right now, I'm trying to make it so that you walk into Route 29 going north from New Bark Town.

I just can't seem to figure it out.
Could somebody walk me through it? thanks!

What if people were slaves to Pokemon?
What if Pokemon were blood-thirsty warmongers that demanded trainers catch allies and train them to keep Humans oppressed?
These are the questions I battle with every day.

Re: Moving Map Connections

Okay, let's start with the basics; where do you want the connection data to be in Route 29's side?
The width of New Bark Town (outside map) is 10 blocks and that of Route 29, 30 blocks.

After planning it out, change the connection data of New Bark Town (outside map) so that it's connected upwards and do all the changes you can be "sure of" with Johtomap;

Dest Bank:
Dest Map:
Width:
Y Alignment:
Window:

Now for example Y Alignment is of course not set to 0 (00) because you're connecting North instead of regularly connecting West and having both maps start at the same "Y level".
