A quick question on scripts?

Okay so this may sound dumb but how do you save scripts to the rom after i've written them?
example: This is a map that was once tin tower, moved to route 22 and one of the events on the map that I planned on making an articuno battle

now I write over that script by loading my articuno script

but now i click save, and back out. however i click decompile script again and its the same old script from before, as if ive done nothing. Im obviously missing something here, so if someone could help that'd be rad.

Re: A quick question on scripts?

No no no.... There is nothing right with this type of script right now.

First of all, you're using the command system FRLG/RSE uses. PKSV uses different commands for G/S/C (I assume you created that script with the generator and it doesn't work for 2nd gen games). If you would have been able to compile it (would have worked if you didn't write #dyn 0x740000 & @start in the beginning), the script would have only lead to the game freezing (very likely but at least not even anywhere close to the wanted results). Second, #dyn 0x740000 is used for trying to find free space starting at rom address 0x740000 although 2MB GB/C roms are only "up to" 0x1FFFFF (not sure whether this works for G/S/C either, I haven't had use for such command).

See what kind of script Ho-Oh's event uses and try to learn how to make your own articuno battle based on it.

okay awesome to know miksy, thanks. :)

EDIT: okay, I tried it your way, it told me it saved the script and then i looked back at the script but all it was was the code "2call 0x0 ' 0xFFFFFFFF" for about 2000 lines. I know that cant be right. Please someone help. XD
