I just love programming + Pokemon games, so here it is! My second GSC tool that I'm releasing for free, though I believe this is not just a cheap program haha. Here it is, my so proud GSC Moveset Editor!
You're still going to need to install .NET Framework 4 and you can get it here: www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=24872
sceptile30 is the password for the zip file, though the only content is the program itself, no need for read-me's
I'm also planning to study and develop these tools if I have time:
-GSC Attack Editor (edit Power, Accuracy, PP, effect, etc etc.)
-GSC TM/HM Editor (this tool is already available, but I really find it hard if I want to check 50 TM's and 7 HM's, and I'm not sticking in doing it manually for 251 Pokemon)
-GSC Trainer Editor (this tool is also available, but I will just make my own version of it with sorting functions like if you want to sort trainers by name, or by area, etc etc.)
Please give me the credits if you're going to use my tools in a hack that you're going to release and also, you can consult me if GSC tools need to be developed and if I find free time, I'll do the studying in order for it to be created. And lastly, I'm not just a Pokemon-game-lover, but also a programmer, and I also do want to have my personal income for my expertise so if you know freelance jobs for me, please do mention it thanks! :)
Hoping to get your feedbacks soon! :)

After toying with this, I must say you did a great job with this editor. Very straight forward and easy to use.
Any clue on how/if egg moves could be editor in a later version (assuming you'd want to do that)?

I'm not planning on adding the egg moves editor, you can just use this tool and make pokemon learn its egg moves right? :)
Guys please do rechecking of the link, i'm always editing the tool if i found some bugs and just now i edited it so you better redownload it thanks! :)

Some pokemon moveset cannot edit, e. Heracross and Scizor.
Sorry for my english, me speaking spanish... XD

The egg moves aren't too difficult to edit once you know where they are located. They are simply strings of values that represent the moves that can be bred onto the Pokemon, assuming it is capable of hatching out of an egg.
If you could make a tool for editing learned moves, something which is much more complex, an egg move editor should be simple enoughl.

I decided to make this tool primarily because I want to avoid (on my playing, GSC that is) the complexity of breeding and getting an egg move for a pokemon. If you still don't get my point, I'll explain further. To get a pokemon's egg moves, you have to select first two compatible pokemons, then select a male pokemon who has the move you want the baby pokemon to learn, and most of the moves are only obtainable through chain-breeding, meaning you need to breed a move to a pokemon until there are 2 pokemons that are of compatible egg groups. That's why I'm not planning on ever making an egg moves editor. And I don't plan on studying where the offsets are located (of course, different offsets for GS and crystal).
And also, I've posted what tools I plan to develop and that's that. But if you're saying that it's so simple you can introduce your own tool too. :)

Awesome job! You made my day lol. I'm making a Crystal hack and I'm editing level up movesets BY HAND via goldfinger hex editing so you can imagine how useful is this going to be for me!! Darn, I just wish I've come here earlier as I've already done more than half of the mons!! Around 15 total hours or so mind you...

For some weird reason, both the moveset and the evolution editor have stopped working in my windows 7 laptop. It's weird because they show up in the taskbar when I execute either of them, but they don't open (I've checked if it could be the antivirus but it's not):
EDIT: Meant taskbar

Try the same fix that is used when Agixp does this.
Right click on it -> click "Move" -> Press one of the arrow keys
I am not very active on this forum. I only pop in from time to time.

when I right click it there is just close window and pin the program to the taskbar =/
edit: nevermind, it works with shift+right click! Thanks man =)

If I remember correctly, the animation a certain move uses is stored as the first byte value in it's "specifics" (base damage, effects etc.).

no,i mean, the frames of the move's animation,. Example, a steel type move has an initial animation of "Shining body",then followed by "claw","wing",etc. Like metal claw and steel wing.
so if i want to make "bullet punch" wich is a steel type move, i will make "shining body" followed by "a punch",like in mega punch, etc.
i think my explanation is......unclear :)

This has been figured out for RBY, but not GSC (as far as I’m aware). This page may make it easier to figure out GSC’s animations format.
i've already read the page,and..uh..i can't understand sorry >.<
maybe someone can figure out for GSC and make the job easier.

Just a note, the link has died. I would really appreciate it if you would update it.
... Nvm, the tools by me thread has all of your tools with working links... I feel like a nub now.
